Ida diasporaa eestlaste materjalid nüüd Saagas kättesaadavad

Nii kuidas aasta-aastalt on suurenenud huvi rahvuskaaslaste, mh Nõukogude Venemaal elanud eestlaste saatuse vastu, on tõusnud ka seda temaatikat sisaldavate arhiivide kasutatavus. Äsja on riigiarhiivi kogudes asuvate ida diasporaa eestlaste dokumente sisaldavate arhiivide digiteerimise projekti esimese osa tulemusel loodud Saaga (www.ra.ee/dgs) kaudu juurdepääs umbes 1500 säilikule (kokku ligi 190 000 kaadrit), milles leidub unikaalset ainest Nõukogude Venemaal 1917 – 1940 elanud eestlaste eluolu, saatuse ja tegevuse kohta.

 

2012. aastal digiteeriti Rahvuskaaslaste Programmi käigus Moskvas ja Peterburis 20. sajandi I poolel tekkinud arhivaale. Digiteerimine hõlmas nelja arhiivi – Kominterni Eesti sektsioonide Moskvas ja Leningradis arhiive (ERAF.6495 ja ERAF.25), ja 1920. aastal Tartu rahulepingu alusel Nõukogude Venemaal elanud eestlaste Eestisse opteerimiseks loodud Moskva ja Petrogradi kontroll-opteerimise komisjonide arhiive (ERA.36 ja ERA.28). Isiklikke toimikuid projekti käigus ei digiteeritud.

Kominterni Eesti sektsioonide arhiivide näol on tegemist unikaalse ja autentse materjaliga 1920. – 1930. aastatel NSVLis elanud eestlastest, kellest suur osa jäi 1930. aastate lõpu stalinistlike repressioonide käigus kadunuks. Arhiiv ei kajasta mitte üksnes EKP suhteid ja tegevust Kominterni liinis, vaid dokumenteerivad laiemalt EKP ajalugu 1940. aastani (sh vähesel määral ka EKP „iseseisvumise“-eelset perioodi 1917-1920), lisaks koguti andmeid NSVLis elavate eestlaste kohta jpm huvitavat.

Kontroll-opteerimise komisjonide arhiivide juurde kuuluvad muuhulgas Stavropoli Eesti Komitee ja Eesti Asunike Liidu arhiivimaterjalid, kirjavahetus Kaukaasia, Armaviri jt Eesti komiteedega, andmed Moskvas elavate eestlaste kohta, Venemaal arreteeritud eestlaste nimekirjad, andmed näiteks Jamburgi, Pihkva, Tšerepovetsi, Toropetsi, Odessa jt linnade ja piirkondade eestlaste kohta.
