A new intern Augustas Alekna, a Vilnius University senior, has joined the Lithuanian Studies Unit of the National Library of Lithuania. Alekna is doing his BA in political science and diplomacy. His BA thesis is focused on the analysis of the displaced persons’ or war refugees’ reflections about their status and fate and memory politics in contemporary Lithuania. The intern has joined the ongoing Unit’s projects and research. During the four-month internship, he hopes to deepen his competencies in social science research and acquire new ones.
