A group of Latvians visited VEMU on 13 June. They were shown the collections, and the use of volunteer-run archives and libraries was discussed. The Latvians are also considering starting their own archival workgroup. The staff at VEMU is hoping to be of some help to them and wish the Latvians much success in their upcoming archival work.
The visitors were: Andris Kesteris, George Juris Kenins (organiser for the Latvian Song Festival in Hamilton 3-6 July, 2014), Aija Karklins, Skaidrite Terauds, Ilze Maksins, Inta Purvs.
