Since 2011, the Academic Folklore Society in cooperation with the Estonian Cultural Endowment Folk Culture Foundation have given out the Annual Estonian Folklore Award. This year there were three candidates: Anu Korb, Merili Metsvahi, and Piret Voolaid. The accomplishments of all the nominees in their respective research organizations were highlighted along with the popularity of their research results.
