Eestlased maailmas. Pildilugude kalender 2026
Nonprofit association Estonian Diaspora Academy has published a calendar of Estonians around the world in the last century.
The old photographs displayed in the calendar depict Estonians who went to the wide world in search of work, bread, happiness and love. The photos show them doing volunteer work, traveling, partying and having picnics.
All historical photographs come from the collections of the Estonian Archives in the U.S., Inc and the National Archives of Estonia. Where possible, the names of the people in the photographs were also included in the captions to make it easier to find long-lost relatives.
All proceeds from calendar sales will go towards producing the next documentary film in the series “Estonia Is in the Eye of the Beholder”, which tells the story of Estonians around the world.
The calendar has a large A3 format and is printed on thick paper.
