Birgit Kibal (b. 1976) graduated in history from the University of Tartu in 1999, and has been working since in the National Archives: initially as archivist and in customer service in the History Archives, and since 2004 as head of information and adviser in the developmental bureau of the National Archives. Birgit Kibal’s professional interests are associated with the access conditions to archives, and the professional qualification requirements of archivists. She is a member of the board of the Baltic Heritage Network.
