Piret Noorhani (b. 1960) studied Estonian language and literature at the University of Tartu (M.A. 2002). In 1991-1996 she worked in the Estonian Cultural History Archives of the Estonian Literary Museum as a researcher and archivist, in 1997-2007 as its Head. Since November 2007 she has been Estonian diaspora project manager in the Estonian National Museum. She is head of a working group developing strategies and politics for Estonian archives abroad (Estonian Archives Abroad working group). Member: Compatriot Program’s Archival Committee, Expert Council of the the program of the Ministry of Education and Research “Collections of Humanities and Natural Sciences”. Member of Board: the Centre for Estonian Diaspora Studies at the Universtiy of Tartu, Estonian Literary Society, Villem Reiman Society, Oskar Luts Museum. Founding member and President of the Baltic Audiovisual Archival Council 2005-2007. Since 2008 President of the Baltic Heritage Network.
